Downtown Resort Style

It is very rare that I get dressed up, but when I can, I always mirror myself to reflect a resort style that I am comfortable in. Tonight is date night and what better than to dress up in a vintage a-line skirt, cork skew wedges and a geometric bralette to show off your sun kissed skin and neckline. Whether it's out with your girl-friends for the night or just pure exploration, this resort style look is chic, slightly bohemian and fresh.

"Brandalism" By Antonio Bransko

Just to prove how far branding can go, Antonio Bransko partnered with luxury enthusiasts to entice the young mind into spending grands on a spray bottle to influence creativity in young artists; you've got my vote. Graffiti and street artists are underway in making their presence known in the fashion world and Bransko is the noise maker.

I interpret the movement to associate quote-unquote branding as a socially acceptable form of vandalism. While many of us may not perceive it that way, society has driven many of us to believe that the things that we see as normal, in fact could be socially unacceptable. Fortunately, Bransko instituted the idea from an experimental design perspective and attempts to coax the mind with brands that we not only recognize, but worship. Vanity slaves from all over will be eyeing the luxury cans of the limited edition cans of professional spray paint. Let me know what you think!

Kicking off the summer with some self-challenges which includes shooting more personal style photos. I know I have said it before, and time doesn't always permit, but it is certainly the one element my blog is missing; until now. I was in the spirit after so many blessings have come my way and I am so enlightened by the experiences and people who have entered my life recently. Rendering positive energy into the universe certainly revolves! Always think positive and live to be inspired by all experiences! More of this look with details coming soon!

I'm also in Houston for the weekend!
Say hi!

Some of my latest styling work with the beautiful Lauralee whom I discovered in my stats class this past semester. She has grown into one of my favorite models. You will be seeing a lot of her. Also in the mean time, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet a very creative mind and photographer, QC. More work of our collaborative efforts coming soon!

Vintage Martini's and Ready-to-Wear Cocktails for an Evening of Hope | Geoffrey Hennings Collection

wake up and smell the Chanel!

Tom Ford at Vintage Martini

The 60s zeitgeist is amongst my favorite fashion eras so I was nothing short of elated when Juan Lerma invited me to be his production assistant for the Evening of Hope AIDS Outreach Runway Show featuring Geoffrey Henning's interpretation of this spring's 60s mod influences. I enjoy contributing as much as possible to the production process, so I accompanied Juan for the pulling of accessories from Vintage Martini for the show. I have literally been sitting on the anticipation of this show for months and watched it expand and grow.

It was my first time working the front of house so it was refreshing to actually watch the show and work at the same time. It was also nice to be surrounded by individuals that both I've worked with as well as the opportunity to meet new faces.

It was a complete success!
